String of buttons (Crassula perforata) is a succulent plant with thick, beautiful blue triangular leaves with pink tips packed snugly around stems that grow upright. This plant does well in full sun to partial shade and only needs to be watered when the top layer of soil becomes dry to the touch.

Soil: Succulents need grittier soil than other plants because they are adapted to dry conditions and store water in their leaves. Use a cactus / succulent soil mix and container with drainage holes.
Watering: Wait until the soil has dried out completely before watering your plant, and then give it a good watering, ensuring the excess water drains out from the pot.
